Chalk Paint® is here at Something Borrowed Something Vintage in Yorba Linda

Here at Something Borrowed Something Vintage in the city of Yorba Linda we sell the Chalk Paint® color Henrietta.  Its supposedly the color requested by Sandringham for decoration of the  nursery for Royal baby #2.

Of course this is a rumor. But Annie Sloan herself has said we can “neither confirm nor deny” that this true. What color is Henrietta? “A beautiful rich complex pink with a hint of lilac. ” according to Annie Sloan’s website. drakehenriettaclose350

Chalk Paint® is absolutely safe for a babies nursery. It has no VOC and almost no odor. What is VOC you say? It’s an abbreviation for Volatile Organic Compound. According to a Consumer reports website “VOCs are solvents that get released into the air as the paint dries.” So obviously the less of these in the paint the better. Annie Sloans Chalk Paint has no VOC’s.

Looks like I’ll be busy at the shop tomorrow painting something in Henrietta. Come and visit me at Something Borrowed Something Vintage, if you’re in Yorba Linda, an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® authorized retailer and Stockist.

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® English Yellow

At a recent workshop someone asked the question “what is the color that sells?” Well thats the million dollar question we all want to know.

But do you really want to paint to your customer or do you want to extend your artistic range and paint what inspires you? Lately I’ve been doing a little soul searching as to “who I’m painting for”.

I’ve been wanting to try English Yellow for so long now I’m practically drooling but I’m thinking is anyone going to buy a piece of furniture in English Yellow? Yes!  I would. You know why? Because its different. And there is a painted piece for every body out there.

So I’m off to paint a pretty little coffee table in English Yellow by Annie Sloan. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Oh, and how quickly it sells.
